Let's get intimate.
So, the weather is crazy. I've been tshirting around town day and night. It's gotten colder the last day or two, but still it is strangely warm, too warm for a coat. I guess it's even odder because it had been so so cold immediately previously. I have, in all honesty, forgotten a couple times what month it is. Seriously. I think I am losing it a little bit. Last night Steve and I were discussing two great films, Commando and Citizen Kane, and I was insisting that Commando would come before Citizen Kane alphabetically. Steve had to start to spell Commando before I realized my error; I was imagining Commando was spelled cAmmando. At least I still remember how alphabetical order works. I guess.
I think I am also confused about time because for some reason I keep reading recipes for preserved lemons and I really really want to make some. But it's not really lemon season, I don't think. Not that I don't live in a place and time in which I can get lemons whenever I damn well please, but if I am going to make preserved lemons I would like to get some very awesome perfectly ripened lemons, not those boulder-esque ones that are oftentimes found at my local Cala. I'll have to do a bit more research into the lemon situation. But don't lemons seem like a summery fruit?

I want to tell you about a cocktail my friend Bryan and I invented. We threw at my apartment a small holiday cocktails party. There was egg nog and peppermint sticks and things like that. Just think of the ingredients you would wish to have on hand to create a winter holiday cocktail and you can bet we did. Have them on hand that is. There was much experimentation, and in my mind, this was the best thing we came up with. In a tall glass mix, in indiscriminate amounts, the following ingredients: milk, vodka, Irish cream liqeur, chocolate syrup, and instant coffee crystals. I promise you won't be disappointed with the results, which will be the most delicious, milkshake-esque, alcoholic beverage you have ever laid lips on. It will be fantastic.
